Position Overview
Culminate is seeking ambitious and well-rounded security professionals to solve the challenges that the industry was never able to solve since the beginning of the internet. As a Security Research Engineer at Culminate, you’ll work with product team to define roadmap and work with AI and software engineering team to ensure the product produces the industry's best investigations.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive security path finding
- Believe the best defense comes from the best attack knowledge and you are able to carry out attack and investigation end to end
- Work with product management to define the roadmap based on the threat landscape relevant to the customer and the customer's daily investigation challenges
- Extreme familiarity with the threat landscape and able to keep up with the latest threat
- Prototype attacks and investigations including clearly communicate the attack procedures and investigation steps
- Work with AI team to automate the best investigation process to protect our customers
- Own efficacy improvement
- Be an expert user of our own product
- Proactively uncover gaps in the investigation and feedback to engineering within 24 hours
- Own the efficacy monitoring responsibility to ensure our customer gets the best protections with minimal interruption
- Test the investigation efficacy with continuously developing threat scenarios
- Partner with product management and marketing
- Write blogs about security content to engage the community
- Provide content help for product marketing team to engage practitioner community with content creation on social media, video platforms, community channels owned by Culminate
- Participate media production such as webinar, interviews, etc.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field
- Familiar with investigation in at least one of the three major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Familiar with windows and/or Linux endpoint investigations
- Familiar with network, SaaS, or email investigations is a plus
- Knowledge of Python or Golang is a plus
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative, innovative environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Have hands on experiences in prototyping attack, detection, and investigation
- Have basic understanding in AI technologies
